Marina Jayd
Neotrad | Illustrative Tattoo Artist
Marina Jayd is a Neo-traditional and illustrative tattoo artist based in the LC Valley, currently living in Lewiston.
When she’s not tattooing, Marina collects pop culture collectibles and oddities, loves video games, and finds inspiration in all forms of art and time spent in nature. She’s also the proud “cool aunt” to four awesome kiddos (and counting), shares her home with two cats, and opens her space as a foster home for animals in need.
For Marina, tattooing is about more than just creating art. It’s about creating an experience where clients feel safe, comfortable, and confident. She’s passionate about making the tattoo industry more inclusive and approachable, and she strives to give every client the freedom to advocate for what they want. With years of experience both designing tattoos and being tattooed herself, she understands how intimidating it can feel to speak up about changes to a design or placement. That’s why she makes it a priority to ensure her clients always feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the process.
Her favorite part of tattooing is seeing the finished piece and the joy on her client’s face. The most rewarding moments, though, come when she helps transform old or poorly done tattoos into something new—art that clients can finally feel proud of and excited to show off again.
If you’re looking for a tattoo artist who cares just as much about your comfort and confidence as she does about creating an incredible tattoo, Marina is here to make that happen.

• What gets you in the creative mindset?
I find a lot of inspiration from artists that I admire and seeing things in nature that inspire ideas. I actually have gotten some really cool ideas just by looking at the clouds and running with whatever shapes I see.
